    Summary This Week’s OpponentMatch week 11: July 8, 2023 We returned from Kamloops last weekend with 3 points from the men’s team and a tough loss from the women’s team.  With three weeks left in the season, the men’s team sits joint top of the league (first on goal difference) but we need results to stay there.  Our final game against Highlanders on the last weekend is looking more and more like it will settle the league championship.  The women’s team is in fifth place, 2 points out of a playoff spot.     Summary This week’s opponent(S)Match week 9: Wednesday, June 21 & 24 Well, THAT was satisfying! Four matches over the last two weeks in the Ironworker’s Derby against Altitude and we came away with 10 points overall.  Our women’s team held on for a 3-2 victory while the men’s team, after a slow start, put 5 past Altitude for a 5-1 win in the bright sunshine of North Vancouver. The matches come fast now and the business end of the season is upon us.     Rovers League1 BC Matchweek 6 – The Tides Are Turning

    On Saturday, June 3rd, our TSS Rovers returned home to Swangard Stadium after a short trip away in enemy chartered waters at UBC. It was a mixed-result adventure, as the men were unable to gain the coveted victory, falling 1-0 against the Whitecaps.  However, despite the enemy striking first, the women were able to come from behind and beat the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1, earning their first win of the season. Our goalie Camellia Xu was an incredible standout of that game, making beautiful saves throughout the match and being the final defense against the Whitecaps attacking players.  The Swanguardians were also very happy to return home to Swangard after their…

    Summary This week’s opponentMatch week 5: May 27, 2023  We head out on the road!  Join us at Ken Woods Park at UBC for our first League away game of the season. Whitecaps FC Location: Ken Woods Field, UBC.TV: Streamed as the League 1 BC match of the weekTickets: Admission is $5 at Ken Woods Park. This is always a tasty matchup. Many of our players, at one point or another, trained in the Whitecaps Academy on the men’s side or the REX on the women’s side.     Summary This week’s opponent Victoria Highlanders Saturday, May 6 Buy your tickets here  TSS Rovers has a long rivalry with Victoria Highlanders dating back to our inaugural season in the PDL and later USL2.  Rovers and Highlanders were the last two combatants for the Juan de Fuca Plate in the USL.  In 2017, Highlanders bested us for that trophy, but we came back and won it in 2018 and 2019.  Technically, the oldest team in League 1 BC, the Highlanders began play in 2009 and have had many notable men’s players come through their side, including former Whitecaps Brett Levis, Caleb Clark, and current Pacific FC captain Josh Heard.   Highlanders…
